SABR Recreational Youth Soccer
Volunteer coaches, team parents, and division representatives are essential to the success of our youth soccer seasons. Carrie Barker, our Director of Coaching and USSF Grassroots Instructor, trains these volunteers.
Volunteers can sign up during child registration or contact us for assistance with the Florida Youth Soccer Association process.
U5 & U6 Team Parents: Help with organizational activities like scheduling drink and picture days.
U7 – U19 Youth Coaches: Receive extensive training from Carrie Barker, including a free preseason clinic and resources throughout the season.
U7 – U19 Youth Division Representatives: Provide leadership and communication between coaches, players, families, and the SABR Board of Directors.
TOPSoccer Coaches/Administrators
TOPSoccer Coaches: 2 or more Coaches per team and their Buddies lead their special athletes through 2 hours of activities and games for 7 Saturday afternoons in January & February.
TOPSoccer Administrators: The volunteer committee organizes each season to enhance the experience for players and their families.
Community Service Volunteers
SABR encourages high school athletes to engage in community service, earning accredited hours while developing leadership skills.
TOPSoccer Buddy: Over 100 high school students support special athletes in the TOPSoccer Program.
SABR Youth Coach: Recreational and travel players can volunteer as coaches or assistants for younger teams.
Referee: SABR referees may receive community service hours instead of payment.
U5-U6 Trainer: SABR trainers can also opt for community service hours in lieu of payment.
Team Boca Managers
Team Boca Managers help coordinate team logistics and travel, and assist communicate with players, families and the Team Boca leadership.
SABR Adult Soccer Administration
The SABR Adult Program consists of 4 leagues and 8 pickup groups.
League & Group Managers and Team Captains.
Key responsibilities include:attend quarterly manager meetings; coordinate with the Adult Director on budgets and permits; confirm player registration and FSSA Insurance; share SABR and league updates with the team; support SABR’s mission and growth; maintain a welcoming and fair atmosphere; uphold SABR and FSSA rules; report misconduct to the Adult Director.
SABR Club Administration
The Soccer Association of Boca Raton (SABR) is one of the largest soccer clubs in the U.S., serving over 3,500 youth and adult members. SABR’s programs are managed year-round by functional Coordinators under the oversight of our Board of Directors.
SABR Coordinators provide services as needed such as communications, fields and schedules, general purchasing, and sponsor relationships.
SABR Directors provide strategic and policy direction as well as tactical and operational leadership within their specific portfolios.
