Summer Soccer Training FAQs

First Come, First Served

All online registrations are date- and time-stamped. We strongly encourage parents to register as early as possible — space is limited, and spots may not be available for those who register late.

Each training week is limited to 60 children. Once that limit is reached, the session enters Wait List status and can still accept additional registrations in case of cancellations or staff expansion. Credit card information is required to join the Wait List, but no payment is charged unless a spot becomes available.

Summer Soccer Training is personalized to the children enrolled. For that reason, enrollment is strictly first come, first served.

Registration FAQs

Q: What is SABR Summer Soccer Training?

A: It’s a 4-day training program consisting of 2-hour morning sessions (with breaks), plus one make-up day in case of rain.

Boys and girls of all skill levels participate in age-appropriate player development activities, including individual technical skills, small-sided games, and scrimmages.

Our program is led by experienced, nationally licensed coaches under the direction of Carrie Barker, SABR’s Director of Coaching.

Q: Who can participate?

A: Players must meet the age criteria for each week (6–13 for Week 1; 12–18 for Week 2).

Q: In what group will my child play?

A: Players are grouped flexibly based on ability and age to ensure every child has fun and succeeds. Coaches adjust groupings as needed to maintain a positive experience.

Q: Are games played during the week?

A: Yes, scrimmages are one of the key methods used in our training sessions.

Q: What is our family’s time commitment?

A: Each day’s session runs from 9:00–11:00 AM. Please arrive on time and depart promptly when your child’s session ends.

Q: When does registration close?

A: Registration remains open until the session fills (60 players). Once full, it moves to Wait List status, which allows for additional registrations in case of cancellations or staffing changes.

Q: Can we make special requests or pre-assignments?

A: No. Registration is first come, first served and requests for coach or teammate placement are not accepted.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Each week costs $120 per child. Payment is made online via credit card or through direct ACH from your checking account.

Q: Will my child train if they are on the Wait List?

A: Probably not, but please register anyway. We do our best to expand capacity if we have qualified coaches and available field space.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Participation in SABR Summer Soccer Training is non-refundable.

Q: Is my child covered by insurance?

A: Yes. Through our affiliation with the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA), registered players are covered by supplemental medical insurance. Coaches and administrators are covered by supplemental liability insurance. These policies only apply after all private insurance coverage has been exhausted and carry a $350 deductible.

Note: Insurance claims must be filed with the SABR After School Director of Coaching.

Q: I have more questions. Who can I contact?

A: Email our Director of Training, Carrie Barker, at cbarker@sabrsoccer.net. Please allow time for a response, especially close to the start of training.

Important Registration Tips

  • Read each registration screen carefully—important details and group limits are displayed throughout the process.
  • Error messages usually result from incorrect login credentials. Make sure you’re using the exact User Name and Password from your original SABR registration.
  • If a session is full, Step 3 will display a “Week is filled” message. This is your only warning.

If you continue, your child will be placed on the Wait List and locked out from registering for a different week.

To try another session, you’ll need to quit the process and start a new registration.
