Support Local Youth Soccer

Volunteering with SABR isn’t just about helping kids learn how to pass or score—it’s about supporting a local soccer community that runs on passion, teamwork, and mentorship. With over 3,500 youth and adult members, SABR is one of the largest soccer clubs in the country. And every season, we rely on sports volunteer opportunities to make it all happen.

Whether you’re a parent, a soccer fan, or someone looking to give back, there’s a place for you at SABR. We offer a range of volunteer coaching opportunities across all age groups. Boys and girls teams from U7 to U19 need soccer coaches. Our coaches receive free preseason clinics led by SABR’s USSF Grassroots Instructor Carrie Barker with continuous support from her, and access to coaching resources throughout the season. It’s a great way to gain experience while making a difference in youth soccer.

And it doesn’t take a master plan to get started. As one volunteer coach put it after three years with SABR:

“I didn’t start coaching with any big plans—I was already at every practice and game, so I figured, why not? At first, I just wanted to make sure the kids were having fun, not worrying too much about strategy. Over time, we made practices more engaging with small-sided games and built up the team’s chemistry. One of my favorite moments was seeing a kid who had never touched a soccer ball before score his first goal. His dad called me just to let me know, and that meant the world to me. That’s why I signed up again. SABR makes it easy to stay involved—it’s a well-run, positive environment where kids fall in love with the game.”

For those who want to be more involved in youth mentoring or mentor programs for youth, we are always looking for individuals who are interested in becoming division representatives to help keep communication strong between families, coaches, and the SABR Youth Program Directors.

Boca Raton Sports Volunteer Opportunities

SABR is more than just soccer—it’s a space where kids grow and volunteers become mentors. If you’ve ever wanted to be a youth mentor or be part of a mentor program for youth, this is your chance. From high school students to long-time locals, we see volunteers of all ages step in and make a real impact on youth soccer.

And for those looking for more youth mentoring opportunities, our community service volunteers play a big role, especially high school athletes who earn accredited hours by helping others. Students can become  assistant coaches or even train younger teams. It’s a chance to develop leadership skills while being part of something meaningful and mentoring youth in their growth as both players and people.

Interested in how to become a youth sports mentor? There are no shortage of ways to get involved.

At the end of the day, SABR volunteers are the heart of everything we do. They help shape teams, encourage players, and build confidence and character along the way. The benefits of mentoring youth in sports are huge—for the kids and for the mentors.

Whether you’re helping a 5-year-old feel confident on the field or guiding a team as they start to become besties, you’re doing more than showing up—you’re shaping players and people. There’s real satisfaction in watching individuals grow, support each other, and come together as a team.
