Inform the assignor at the start of the season if you have a relative on a team to avoid conflicts of interest.
Be consistent in calling fouls based on the level of contact.
If the game becomes overly physical, call fouls and issue cards as needed to regain control.
Apply “Law 18” (commonsense), adjusting calls based on the players’ age and skill level.
